Contracting Process:
All contract requests must be sent by email to Taylor Brough
The email must include:
- Agent’s name as it appears on the state license
- State license number
- SCAN contracted agency name (Jack Schroeder and Associates)
- Agent’s email address
Please be aware:
- Agents are allowed one hierarchy transfer per year (no release needed)
- No hierarchy transfers permitted from October 1st through December 31st (last hierarchy transfer needs to be done by September 15th)
- Writing numbers are issued within 24-48 hours after Tier 3 (face to face) certification is completed
- Errors and Omissions certificate must be up to date 30 days from contract submission, otherwise contract will pend

- Tier 1- Complete AHIP
- Tier 2- Complete the online modules – covers both 2016 & 2017
- Tier 3- Complete a face to face training
- 2017 training calendar is available online

Submitting Business with SCAN:
- JSA agents CAN fax apps to our new business fax line: 1-877-545-2070
- JSA agents can also fax it directly to SCAN through their new business fax line: 1-888-581-7226
- Online enrollment can also be done; each agent has a individual log in and individual password to use this system
Ordering SCAN supplies:
- 2017 supplies will be available October 1st
- Supplies will be shipped via Ground, and will take about 4 days to receive
- Agent can order up to 60 kits every 30 days, 10 sales kits per box
- Emergency pick up available at all SCAN buildings, maximum of 10 sales kits

SCAN Commission Process:
- AOR protection on all plan changes
- If a member switches to another carrier and then comes back to SCAN, the agent who submitted the new business will become AOR
- Commission issues can be sent to [email protected] (48-72 hour turnaround response time)
- All 1/1/2017 new business will be paid out by the end of the month, around January 27th, 2017
- SCAN commissions are pro-rated
